I've just released v1 of Snoot Game for 3DS. This was a quick project with Claude, but I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. I know not everyone's appreciative of AI, but hey, this has been discussed and asked for for 3+ years now with no movement, and Claude knocked it out in two nights ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Contributing
That being said, I'm not a fan of slopping it up either, so I've released the source on my git forge. Please do check it out; it's my hope this can morph into a larger fan project, just like all the wonderful mods and fangames the community has made. There's still some bits that could use polish (see below), but the game is fully playable as-is.
If you'd like to contribute, just sign up on the forge. Account registrations are restricted at the moment to curb spam (something that happened to Cavemanon's own git lol). I'll try and check on these periodically, but you can also DM me @RoxyFan1987 on Twitter if I'm being lazy and you're waiting.
Downloading and Installing
You can find the game release here, with instructions on how to install in the README. You'll need a 3DS with custom firmware capable of running homebrew, a way of getting the game onto the 3DS (I recommend ftpd), the Homebrew Launcher, and FBI if you want to install it to the homescreen.
Compatibility
This has been built for and tested with my 3DS, that is to say the New 3DS XL. Currently, the New 3DS and New 2DS XL should work with no modifications. I'm currently looking into old 3DS, 3DS XL, and 2DS compatibility. Anyone wanting to help test these older models would be greatly appreciated, since I only have the N3DSXL.
To-do
Some parts to do with graphics are a bit unfinished/need work. A banner for the homescreen would be greatly appreciated, as would a better image for the top screen in the main menu. Currently these both just use the PC main menu image, which looks weird when there's no menu items on it.
